Advice ????
Can any of you guys give me your thoughts please:
I recently have been dealing with women from the Ukraine via "anastasia". In particular one absolutely gorgeous women. She is very interested she writes (I contacted her first and she responded). She provided her mailing address and asked me to send her a letter with my address, phone, and E-mail. (she said she couldn't provide her phone because it was against the rules of the agency and I could only buy it through the agency............and I understand that).
I have to admit that I am for the most part an attractive (40 years young), professional man with alot to offer such a sweet girl. But, especially after seeing the postings on your site, I am very wary of being "scammed". Although, I realize that with all of the men who probably use anastasia, their are ALWAYS going to be some malcontents.
I did send her a letter (2-5 day mail)......now what should I look for as far as positive or negative signs ??? Is anastasia reputable for the most part or are there many complaints regarding their services ???
Any advice, help, or insight ANYONE can provide would be greatly appreciated !!!!
Thank You,

Hi John,
It takes the average person about 5 minutes of research to learn all about Anastasia Web. I tend to be the aggressive type; I don't let circumstances control my life, so I had a little bit of a different result with them. I posted my profile (before I knew any better) and I received 298 replies in 8 days, about half from women who were model material. I challenged them (AW) directly with a very searing email. All complaints go through their general manager, Danny-Boy, who is the most volatile (I'm guessing alcoholic) individual I've ever heard from or about. If you complain, he will tear you a new asshole. He's that level of person; that's how they do PR. Very refined, hah hah. He canceled my account in retaliation, but because of my alluding to filing complaints of internet fraud with the FBI, as well as flooding the forums with bad PR about AW, I ended up having $158 refunded to my credit card - everything I had spent with them. In the process I did get the postal address of one woman I was writing to. I contacted 3 other agencies in Voronezh, trying to get them to track her down and get an email forwarding system set up. I succeeded in doing this. Because she came from Anastasia Web and was just too beautiful to be true, I still didn't believe she was real. So I asked her for a very specific photo - light blue top, white pants, left hand on the right shoulder - something she couldn't possibly have taken before. She did this (which surprised the hell out of me) and pretty much laid to rest any more doubts. So I at least found one woman from Anastasia Web who was real; our letters have continued for two months completely separate from AW and things get better with each letter. She sent me more photos and a Valentine's Day card via postal mail which I received yesterday. So what I would recommend is, AW can be the ultimate resource for establishing initial contact, but like the other guy said (sorry but I can't see his name from the screen I'm writing on) get her postal address in the very first letter and then contact other agencies in her city to see if they can establish email and translation with her. But be careful here as well - agencies are big money in Russia and you'll find cities where every agency is controlled by the same person. It borders on organized crime, if it isn't that flat out. AW casts a wide net and controls a lot of agencies. Try what I did - get a photo where you specify the clothes and the pose. The more you look outside the established system, the better off you'll be. Think outside the box and get creative.

Hi John,
You are wary of being scammed by 'anastasia',aren't you? If you are serious about finding a lady and you have doubts in 'anastasia' why not to visit other dating or marriage agencies which offer special service such as Gold Membership providing with a personal advisor. You can browse different web sites learning about women and select those who you like.Personal advisor can help you with advice which of the ladies are the most suitable to you. She can give you personal characteristic of the ladies as she knows them personally. You 'll avoid of scamming. You can look for services of marriage agencies that have web cam in the office like www.lovemage.com. The web cam is www.lovemage info. You can watch them working in the office, and make sure that the women are real. You can ask a girl who you’d like to communicate with to come to the office, then you'll see if she is real .You can even ask her using ICQ of managers to wave you, to smile to you.

Not a Recommended Service . . .
Due to the numerous complaints of Anastasia Web I removed all references of this company from my website. There are plenty of other effective and honest agencies to use instead.

The best you can hope for
Of course mail order brides are interested in improving their standard of living - that's why they come from Russia, Vietnam, etc. and not Canada, Japan, or Germany. The best you can hope for is one who will want to be a good wife, too, and there are plenty of those. Just get to know her well before marriage and use common sense. It's not in the agency, it's in the woman's character.

How to recognize a Russian dating scammer:
Here's a good article how not to be scammed.
How to avoid Russian dating scammers.
If you follow my advice, you will sift out all the scammers. And as a result you will find a pure piece of gold - a woman who is really interested in you and whom you will be able to call your wife.
So how to recognize a Russian dating scammer:
1.) The girl doesn’t want to speak to you on the phone or she is not happy when you phone her. It is important. She is not really interested in you. Don’t believe that she has no time. If a girl really wants to marry a foreign man, she will be happy to speak to him on the phone sometimes.
2.) Be attentive in order to notice lack of coincidence in her letters. For example, if she tells you she likes something and then later she tells the opposite.
3.) She doesn’t remember what you have already discussed with her. It means that she writes to a lot of men and she is not very interested in your correspondence.
4.) There is a very big difference in the age. Probably my words will disappointed you :). I understand your desire to marry a young girl. But if, for example, your are sixty and she is twenty, you haven’t many chances to marry her.
5.) The girl tells that she loves you, though she has never met you in a real life.
6.) She sends you formal letters or you sometimes receive letters with the same content. That means that she has examples of such letters and sends them to a lot of men.
7.) She often doesn’t answer your questions.
8.) She sometimes call you by the wrong name. It also means that she writes to many men and doesn’ treat you seriously.
9.) She doesn’t ask serious questions in order to learn more about your way of life, tastes and so on.
10.)The girl asks you to send money for learning English, for visa or to help her. It is the main sign of scammers.
Don’t send her money at the beginning of your acquaintance. If you met her in real life and there was real attraction between you, you can send her money for coming or for learning a foreign language. But you run risks all the same.
11.) If you don’t send her money, she loses interest for you.
12.) When you come visit her, she doesn’t want to spend with you as much time as possible.
And the main don’t forget to use your intuition and brains, when you write to a beautiful girl.:)
