Uruguay is another popular country to retire and can accommodate any retired citizen. Many American people who have retired in Uruguay have reported that the locals are very friendly. Although Uruguay may not be a top tourist destination, it can be a perfect choice for those people are looking for a quiet retirement. You will find markets, shopping venues, restaurants as well as other amazing destinations.

Colombia for retirement?

Colombia has always attracted me. That part of the world attracts me. I was wondering if anyone could provide info about Colombia in terms of retirement for American citizens?

I have monthly retirement income/s, so that is set for me. My annual income is right around 77k. I am divorced and kids are grown. I love latin women, especially Colombian women, and the culture. But can I find a decent home with my income. Will I be safe there as a retired American male?

Basically, tell me what I don't know, if you already know yourself. I could use a good lesson in information on the subject of Colombia.
