Costa Rica - Easiest Coutry to move to
Costa Rica is one of the easiest counties to retire to, the government makes it very easy to immigrate or stay long periods of time. Small country, you can drive coast to coast in about 4 hours. Only about 3 million people, probably a third Americans now, Escazu near San Jose in dominantly US expats. I prefer the coastal areas. You will like Costa Rica if you are into wild life, eco living, beaches and clean air. You will really love Costa Rica if you are a big outdoor person. If you are city person who likes a lot of night life Costa Rica really is kind of week in the area.

No longer
So many outdated things you will find. And many posted by people who have never even been there. Costa Rich currently has a population of nearly 5 million. The heaviest population ratio in Central America. It has a crime rate much higher than Nicaragua or Panama. Houses are typically now $180,000, so the good old days of cheap living are over. Oh its still nice compared to most of the US, but dont for a minute think you will live cheaper here. Food and everything else is much higher. Taxes are 30% and it is really a VAT where from source to consumer each step pays 30% For jobs you can forget that unless you have skills native Costa Ricans don't.
